Mind Notes Pt.79 'Until'

Live until my life force empty
Running to the edge and back
Ride until the wheels fall off
And somehow I keep coming right back

Live until my life force empty
Running to the edge and back
Ride until the wave breaks
Until its that time
And theres no coming back

I came back from the dark
My mind's fortified
I came back many times
I'm still alive
In this theatre of dreams
I've got to play my part
Still standing tall
Keep that love in my heart
Keep that peace in my mind
The time's testing
Too much negative vibes
And mad stressing
I need peace
I'm tired of second guessing
I'm trying to free minds
Never mind how I'm dressing
Clock more lessons
Gain more Earth time
Search for perspective
Turn it into another rhyme
Bring it back another time
I'm trying to catch a feeling
Read between those other lines
I'm trying to find the meaning
Trying to find the reason
We're tripping on each other's toes
Eating out of each other's bowls
That's just the way it goes
 But still we never know
If we can see beyond the gold
We can find better times
Travel down the yellow road

I've seen people come and go
I still maintain
Stay on my own path
Stay in my own lane
Deal with my own pain
Beg no forgiveness
Karma my master
The Earth is my witness
Make a wish list
Let it float in the breeze
On point
But my mind carefree
Master of my universe
King of my kingdom
Shepherd of my soul
No man is an island
So I try to keep trying
Speak freedom
The flag still flying
Piggy back a rocket
Disappear through the hemisphere
Send out a homing beacon
Let them know that we're still here
Let them know we're waiting here
For love to come and reappear
Red gold and green flares
Put them up in the air
Elements are everywhere
Everything connected
Analogue or digital
Imperial or metric

PEACE LOVE & PEOPLE POWER!

Mind Notes Pt.78 'One Drop'

Throw the rope down
Help your brother out son
The power's in the numbers
We could get the job done
The road is real rocky
And the struggle ain't fun
But don't forget to look down
While you run to the sun

We made it up from the bottom
We born strugglers
We born beautiful
So ugly one's will trouble us
I'm talking beautiful hearts
And beautiful art
Not talking about the label
In your jeans in the dance
We made it out
Of the cycle of deprivation
Desperate times
Hungry belly starvation
Reckless nation
The youths stay craven
Lives pass on
Like trains through the station
All this loss of life
How long
Before we get it right
How long before we see
That we're all brothers
We're not born to fight
Someone switch on the light
And let us see we're equal
The evils in the money
But the love is in the people

We made something
Out of nothing
We can work a ting'
We have to make it happen
We've got to get it in
They got to let me sing
My heart is on my sleeve
The words are on my tongue
Let them out
Let me breathe
We made our beds
Now we lie in them
And give thanks
But the balance of our lives
Hangs in the bank
I knew something stank
When money start talking
Numbers on our backs
Dead men walking
All these trains of thought
Still here
Now who'd of thought
No profits
For my prophecies
I rap for love and sport
I rap to stop the wars
Call me a peace maker
Love crusader
Bringing back nature

PEACE LOVE & PEOPLE POWER!

Mind Notes Pt.77 'Chosen Few'

Many are called
But few are chosen
That's just how it goes
Gone with the wind
And lost in time
But those who know
Still know
We keep on living
Day to day
Easy come
Easy go
Come with the real rap
That's where my hearts at
Off and away
With the show

Everything is a circle
But they put us in squares
So I'm off on a next trip
Tick no boxes
Just don't care
Man want to come
With all the drama
But I turn the other cheek
Because I'd rather
Split
Scarper
Done with the drama
All good karma
Until it's bad karma
Swirl like rain storms
Over the harbour
Sinners repent
And curse their forefathers
I'd rather my father
Had love for my mother
But life ain't perfect
I learnt from my brothers
Learnt that history
Ain't what it should be
Turned it around
And came with a new theme
Came with a new dream
Free some minds
Each one teach one
Now's the time

Seen friends
And loves one's
Disappear in time
So no time to waste time
Up out something
Got to get mine
Because the margins are fine
Try escape the labels
Jump out the box
Let me spin you a fable
See all the things
That I bring to the table
Willing and able
To do the right thing
Keep my mind right
When lights are blinding
Belly full of fire
And a rap with a rhyme in
Eye with a twinkle
Face with a smile in
Still stay shining
World on my shoulder
Step by step
Until I get much older
Bolder
No sugar with the sentence
Real talk
When I make an entrance

PEACE LOVE & PEOPLE POWER!

Mind Notes Pt.76 'Shinobi'

Skip down the road
Like I'm five years old
Whistling like a window cleaner
Kids in candy shops
Football tops
And blue peter
WrestleMania
Playing Sega
City slicker cool kids
Caught up in this music biz'
Big kids
We get in it
Popping bottles
Grab a cup
Brother fill it up
Party like it's pay day
Poison picker
Pushing luck
Grab some shots
And line them up
We celebrate just waking up
Every days's another gift
Until the day
Our time is up

One too many games
Sega Shinobi
Now I'm backflipping fences
The neighbours know me
Never used to crawl
I walked as a baby
My first words
Get down
Born as a G
Born in the city
While big ben chiming
Irish
Jamaican
Perfect timing
More lime in my rum
Pineapple soda
Ease off the ice
More rum in the potion
I need more butter
With my peanut butter
But I might flip it up
And go fluffernutter
My teeth stay sweet
Like krispy kreme
A grown man
Still living big kids dreams
It is what it seem
When you get what you got
When your'e on top
Dance the dance
With lady luck
Try not to get stuck
And keep in surviving
Fasten my seatbelt
Mother earth driving

Three six five
We up in this matrix
So Friday and Saturday
We all get wasted
Then Monday to Friday
It's back to the basics
Alarm clock
Jump up
Chase them papers
Run to the sun
While the grey cloud chase us
Dressed to the nines
We're obsessed with status
But I'm most pleased
When I'm turning pages
Scribble in my rhyme book
Rap for ages
So give me more beats
I'll gobble and eat them
Counting the lines
So my rhymes are even
For now I ain't leaving
I'm stuck to the globe
So I say what I see
While the world revolve
Just one man
Moving in the mix
Of this madness
Push positivity
Escape the sadness
No bad mind badness
I'm just me
Sweet like cake
And cream
And tea
