The game's absurd

Stuck in the trap
Or nine to five work

Trying my best

But it's hard to survive
On the wages we earn

I feel kind of old

The game's to be sold

I keep telling truths
But I keep hearing lies

And I keep seeing the rise
Of the price of the gold

No dilly dally
I follow the road home

Keep my eyes peeled
Because hearts remain cold

No flat foot
I stay on my tip toes

Collecting my numbers
To break the codes

Soul searching
We draw breaths

Some crash and burn
And draw last breaths

Some long lost
Some still here

Some hold hate
Some hold fear

Some hold hope
Some left holding a rope

I'll never choke on a rope
I keep climbing

Higher and higher

Since a kid
