But do they mean what they say
Ulterior motives
Tongues tell lies

Who you fall in love with
But forget that
Hold tight to your heart kid
Because I've seen all the damage
That love did
And I've felt real pain
Because my heart's big
Kindred
My spirit stay curious
But hell hath no fury
Like a woman that's furious
Motives are spurious
Trust is illusion
Deception and lies
Caught in confusion
Loves blind
So take a step back

It feels overwhelming

Emotions get the better
We're making bad choices

But clarity's a blessing

I'm trying to do my thing

Tree tops
Corner shops
Hood blocks
Tongues wagging
Brothers rapping
Haters taking pop shots
It's a lot
We question is it worth it
Money power respect
Practise makes perfect
Practice my words
Perfecting my flow
Say it how it is
Because we all know
Just how it goes
And it keeps going
Time is never on our side
You could duck

But you can never hide
Look inside
Figure out your energy
Because we have got to
Gravitate to positivity
That's what's inside of me

Depression

We start to get the wrong impression

Trying to resist
Seduction and myth
Hearsay and rhetoric
Consumed in a mist
Certain days our sorrow
Seem to creep
And grab a hold
So we sleep
Dream
And see what tomorrow holds
Fairtales unfold
For people living fantasies
But it's a nightmare
On planet Earth
For casualties
Some people feel at ease
Some never see it coming
Others live it every day
Sick to the stomach
But it's balance
We've got to count blessings
Wonder what the universe
Brings in the morning

Out of control
Sometimes I think my mind
Is spinning out of control
Because thoughts escape me
A million miles an hour

Because the grind

Weighing me down

But it's a hard task

I'm getting frustrated
How long can this last

Trying to struggle with the fight

Bars full of roses
Turning up
And rocking jams
The paths that we chosen
Truths spoken
Peace and love the notion

Focus on the positive
The hate can get you sucked in
Humble beginnings
We flower and flourish
Some get love
Some get punished
While we're digging
Through the rubbish
Rise to the top and fall again
They're writing eulogies
I thank my friends
For inspirations
That they bring to me
I thank the forces
For energies inside of me
And thank the universe
For elements surrounding

Trying to do the things

Contemplating

The pen

Technology
Economy

But the tipping point
Is always looming
Testing
