We go to sleep

Another day

Man am I feeling this

Because every day's another struggle

Trying to deal with it

The snakes and serpents

Slither around

I'm feeling feverish

The temperature stays hot

On the roads

That's where the drama is

Holla back

Get the dollar back

We get it in

Everybody say that they're good

But they're grinding

Everybody say that it's hood

When they're shining

Because man get crooked and creased

Forget the ironing

Hazy escape

Smoke vapour

Liquor bottles drip

Trying to make something

Out of nothing

Trying to make it quick

Trying to make a little

Out of something

Make the numbers fit

Trying to make

The pence make sense

That's what we're dealing with

I'm from the clan of the Lyons

Slaves and survivors man

My ancestors had to fight

They had a different plan

So now I'm feeling free

I'm living as a free man

But freedom is a state of mind

We overstand the game plan

Flashes of visions

Better days an dream lands

I'm dreaming dreams

Trying to dream away the pain man

I'm thinking finer thoughts 

Of better ways and better plans

The mind keeps turning like a wheel

Spinning to neverland

Fairytales an fables

The future is unwritten

History's  in the print

But the truths remain hidden

Wealth of information

But the relevance is missing

So it's one day at a time

But the time is always ticking

Trying to make a difference

But will people really listen

Because they're clocking television

Locked up in a prison

Some hugging and kissing

Others fight to the death

Might win the right fight

But in the end what's left

So pick a peck of knowledge

Spin it around

Let it simmer

In a world full of sinners

We're all trying to be winners

Trying to figure out da figures

Make the ends meet up

So we sleep

And we dream

And we try wake up

Thoughts up in vapour

Rising through the ether

Dreaming through the days

At night we deep sleeper

Secret reacher

The mind span deeper

Meet the dream merchant

Purchase a keeper

Weird tangents

Strange situations

Erratic Brainwaves

The thought process hasten

Virtues of patience

Theories remain ancient

Questioning the questions

But answers remain latent

It's blatant

This go get philosophy

Has got us dreaming different dreams

And got us scheming different schemes

Stuck inside the dream machine

So things ain't what they really seem

Sparks from da culture shocks

We gotta stop

And check the scene

Some are keen

Others struggle with their conscience

Some reach the line

Others don't go the distance

But what's the difference

It's all psychology
